Sugared Peanuts

• 6 c raw peanuts with paper shells on
• 1 T butter
• 2 c sugar
• 1 c water
• coloring, if desired

Dissolve butter, sugar, water and coloring in a pot. Boil for a few minutes.

Add peanuts and stir continuously until the mixture dries out and peanuts are coated.

Put on a try and bake at 326°F for about 30 minutes, or until peanuts are cooked and coating is dry and crisp.
