Fudge

Ingredients

  • ¾ c margarine
  • 1/3 c syrup
  • 1 tin condensed milk
  • 1 1/3 c milk
  • 6 c sugar
  • 1 c flour
  • 1ml cream of tartar
  • 1 t vanilla
  • Salt

Instructions

Melt margarine and syrup in a heavy pan over low heat. Add condensed milk and milk. Add sugar and flour and mix well. Stir till boiling point and add tartar. Simmer 25 minutes over low heat, stirring till soft ball stage is reached. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Beat vigorously till thickening. Pour into greased trays. Score and cool.
