Japanese Fondue or Hot Pot

Ingredients

Sauce/stock:

  • 1/2 c soy
  • 4 T sugar
  • 1/2 c chicken stock
  • sliced giner
  • chopped scallions

To cook in hotpot:

  • finely sliced meat (beef/pork/chicken)
  • onions or scallions
  • carrot slices
  • bean sprouts
  • courgette slices
  • sliced mushrooms
  • Chinese cabbage
  • broccoli
  • cauliflower
  • water chestnuts
  • eggs
  • tofu shrimp/seafood
  • quick cook udon or other noodles

Sour cream sauce:

  • 1 c sour cream
  • 2 t horseradish
  • 1 t chopped parsley
  • season to taste

Instructions

Cook stock ingredients together in a hotpot. Dilute with water as needed.

Add various selections of ingredients to the pot to cook. Serve them and cook more.

Keep eggs for the last ingredient.

Make dipping sauce. Also use a variety of other Asian sauces for people to make their own dipping options. Many sauces are available to purchase as well.
