Gingerbread House Recipe

Ingredients

  • 5 ½ c flour 1 t baking soda
  • 1 t salt 1 T cocoa
  • 1 T cinnamon 1 T ginger
  • ½ c butter ¼ c Crisco/shortening
  • 1 ¼ c sugar 2 eggs
  • ½ c molasses

Instructions

Prepare dough and place in the fridge overnight. Roll out to 1/8 inch on trays and then cut - don't try to transfer to sheets after cutting large areas. Bake at 350 for 7 to 10 minutes. Use Royal icing to glue it together and to its base. Also use for decorating.
