Beef Strips With Orange And Ginger

Ingredients

  • 500 g beef, in thin strips
  • Zest and juice of 1 orange (not sliced)
  • 1 T soy sauce
  • 1 t cornstarch
  • 1 inch piece fresh ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 T oil
  • 1 large carrot, in thin strips
  • 2 scallions, sliced
  • Noodles or rice to serve

Instructions

Mix beef and orange zest and juice. Allow to sit for 10 to 30 minutes.

Drain liquid and set aside.

Add soy, cornstarch and ginger to meat and toss.

Stir fry-meat until lightly colored.

Add carrot and cook 2-3 minutes longer.

Stir in scallions and reserved liquid, cook till boiling.

Serve over rice or noodles.
