Ingredients

• 3 c flour ¾ t baking powder
• ½ t salt 1 c butter
• \-1 c sugar 1 egg
• 1 T milk 2 ½ t vanilla
• ¼ t lemon or almond extract (opt.)

Instructions

Beat butter and sugar till fluffy. add egg, milk, extracts till smooth. Stir in dry ingredients (adding up to 3T extra flour if necessary). Divide dough. Roll out between wax paper till ¼ inch thick. Lay on baking sheet and put in fridge for 45 minutes, or freeze for 25 minutes. Grease trays. Loosen wax paper, flip over and remove other wax paper. Cut out and place on cookie sheets. Bake for 8 to 11 minutes at 375. Cool on wire racks.
