Big Ginger Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ c flour
  • 2 t ginger
  • 1 t bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 t cinnamon
  • ½ t ground cloves
  • ¼ t salt
  • ¾ c butter
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ c molasses

Instructions

Beat butter and sugar till fluffy. Add egg and molasses. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Shape into 3 cm balls. Roll in sugar. Bake at 180 C for about 10 minutes, or till light brown. Cool. Makes about 24.
